Variants
Product versions with their own price, stock and parcel data — and the one that cannot be archived.

A product is sold through variants (product versions). Even a product with only one price has one: the default variant, which is what the storefront shows.
What a variant carries of its own
- Price and stock
- Shipping data — weight, dimensions, package size
- Its own low-stock threshold
Everything else — name, description, images, category — belongs to the product.
On the storefront
A product with more than one variant shows a variant select in the buy row of the product info block. It takes its height from the block's Button Size chip, like the rest of the row.
Archiving
A variant that appears in orders or in a running subscription is archived rather than deleted, so the order history keeps making sense. The product itself stays on sale.
Archived variants are restored from the variant tabs inside the product.
The default variant
The default variant cannot be archived, because the storefront shows the product through it. If you want it gone, make another variant the default first, then archive the old one.
