Your account and signing in
Creating an account, Google sign-in, forgotten passwords, and what the terms confirmation is about.

Creating an account
Sign up with an email address and password, or with Google. Either way you have to actively tick the checkbox accepting the platform's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy — the acceptance is recorded together with the version of the documents you agreed to.
With an email address there is one more step: 10mShop sends you an email to confirm it, in the language the sign-up page was shown in. Its button signs you in and opens your dashboard — or the Pro checkout, if that is what you signed up for — on any device, so a sign-up on the laptop can be confirmed on the phone. Until then you cannot sign in; trying it with the right password sends you a fresh link. With Google there is nothing to confirm.
When the terms are updated later, a one-time confirmation page appears after you sign in, before the dashboard opens. The same page appears after your first Google sign-in through the login page. It is not an error — confirm and carry on.
Forgotten password
The login page has a Forgot password? link.
Enter the email address of your account. If an account exists for it, a reset email arrives.
Open the link in the email and choose a new password. The link is valid for a limited time and can only be used once.
Sign in with the new password.
If the link is reported as expired, request a fresh one from the same page — an old link cannot be revived.
Your customers have exactly the same thing at your shop:
/your-shop/account/login shows a Forgot password? link in the shop's
language, and the reset page opens inside your shop. The email itself comes
from your shop — with your shop's name as the sender and, once connected,
your own sending domain — in the shop's
language, at most one per minute per account.
Your dashboard language
The dashboard and the 10mShop website are available in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian. Pick yours under Account Settings (sidebar, bottom section).
This changes the app's interface for you, and the language of the password-reset email 10mShop sends you. The language of your public shop is separate — storefront texts, invoices, customer emails and SEO descriptions all follow the per-shop language set under Settings → General.
You cannot be your own customer
A shop's owner cannot open a customer account at their own shop — you manage it from the dashboard instead. Trying it, by email form or through Google, shows a message in the shop's language suggesting a different email address for testing the customer experience.
Customer accounts belong to one shop. A customer creates an account at your shop with their email address, with or without a password of their choosing — the same address may have accounts at other shops on the platform, each on its own, and none of them knows about the others. Signing in at a shop where the address has no account yet answers with a hint to create one first, and a second account with the same address at the same shop is refused with a hint to sign in instead.
The usual way to sign in is a code by email: the customer types their address, your shop emails them a six-digit code — from your sending identity, like an order confirmation — and they enter it on the login page, which signs them in. A code is valid for ten minutes and for five attempts; a new one can be requested after a minute, five per hour. A customer who set a password can sign in with it instead (Sign in with a password instead under the button), and Forgot password? sets or resets one — also for an account that never had one.
Signing in with Google follows the same rule: it creates or opens the account at that one shop, for the address Google confirms, and signs the customer in nowhere else — the same Google address at two shops is two accounts. An account opened this way has no password of its own until the customer sets one through Forgot password?; Google and the code keep working beside it.
A customer who signs up with a password also confirms the address: your shop sends them an email with a link that activates the account. Until the link is opened the customer cannot sign in and is shown no earlier guest order, so nobody can read somebody else's orders by typing that person's address. The link is valid for 24 hours; signing in with the right password sends a fresh one, at most every ten minutes and three times a day. A customer who signs up without a password is confirmed by the first code they enter, since the code reached the same address; Google needs no such link either, and a completed password reset confirms the address as well.
Deleting your account
Account deletion is irreversible. It is refused while any of your shops is still active: archive every shop first under Settings → Danger Zone. Archived shops stay stored with their products, orders, customer data and invoices, which you are required by law to keep. Your Pro plan and any yearly domain renewals are cancelled immediately (a domain you paid for that was not registered yet is refunded), your name, email address and profile picture are removed, and you can no longer log in.
If what you actually want is a break, go back to the Free plan instead: nothing is deleted, every shop, product and order stays editable, and upgrading again restores everything immediately.
