Marketing tracking
Meta Pixel and Google Ads — and the cookie banner that comes with them.

Settings → Marketing stores your shop's Meta Pixel ID and Google Ads
conversion tag (an AW- conversion ID plus an optional purchase conversion
label).
A service can only be switched on with a valid ID.
Switching it on changes your shop
The first activation asks for confirmation, because it commits your shop to showing a cookie-consent banner and to updating your privacy and cookie policies.
A standing warning stays visible in the Marketing and Legal sections while tracking is on.
While a service is enabled — and you are on Pro — every storefront page shows a consent banner in your shop's language. It:
- names the enabled services
- links your cookie policy
- offers Accept and Decline as equals; declining leaves the shop fully usable
The decision is stored per shop in the visitor's browser for 12 months. A small persistent cookie settings pill (bottom left) reopens the banner, and changing which services are enabled asks everyone again.
Shops without active tracking stay exactly as before: cookieless, no banner. The built-in analytics is separate and never needs one.
Nothing loads before consent
The tags load strictly after an opt-in. Before it — or after a decline or a
revoke — not even the vendor script is requested, and revoking flips fbq's and
gtag's own consent switches off.
What gets sent once consented
| Service | Events |
|---|---|
| Meta Pixel | PageView (also on client-side navigation), ViewContent, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout, Purchase — with the order as deduplication event id |
| Google Ads | Remarketing page hits, plus — when a purchase conversion label is configured — a purchase conversion with value, currency and the order as transaction_id |
Google Consent Mode v2 reports ad consent granted; analytics_storage stays
denied, because the built-in analytics is separate and cookieless.
Your legal texts have to cover it
The AI legal-text generator adapts automatically to whichever services you have enabled — so after switching one on, let it regenerate your privacy and cookie policies, or update them by hand.
