Collection in person
A switch at the top offers collection in person. It is free of shipping costs, whatever the customer pays with.
Beside it is an optional free-text field for the pickup details — the address, the opening hours, what to bring — up to 600 characters, in your shop's own language.
Whatever you write there appears:
- in the checkout, under the delivery options, the moment a customer chooses collection
- again at the end of that order's confirmation email, above the seller footer
It reaches the email whether your shop uses its own order-confirmation text or the built-in one, so it needs no placeholder in the template. Orders that ship never show it, however they were paid, and an empty field shows nothing anywhere.
Shipping methods, per country
Below that, per country: freely named shipping methods with a price, a delivery time and an optional free-shipping threshold.
The country picker offers the countries 10mShop serves: Switzerland, Liechtenstein and the EU.
Methods have no fixed category. The checkout lists them sorted by price, cheapest first, and preselects that one.
Once the order reaches the free-shipping threshold, the most expensive method is preselected instead — it then costs nothing extra. The customer can still switch.
Prices per package size
Each method can optionally have prices per package size — Small / Medium / Large / Bulky.
The checkout charges the price of the largest package size in the cart.
Sizes without a price inherit from the next smaller size that has one.
A product's package size is set in the product form's Shipping tab — and describes the parcel, packaging included, not the article.
Which countries the checkout offers
The checkout's country dropdown offers only the countries you actually deliver to, and a country needs at least one shipping method to appear.
A country merely switched on without a method counts as no delivery — in the checkout, on the shipping information page, and in the order the server accepts. Switching a country on is not enough.
If exactly one country is left, it is preselected, so a shop that ships to one country does not ask for it.
This applies while something in the cart ships. A cart of digital goods or services, and a pickup order, need no delivery country at all — and the same country list stays available for the invoice address.
Returns
The Returns block at the end of the section states what Google and AI assistants read about returns — nothing a customer sees on your pages:
- Return window (days after delivery) — how many days a customer has to send an order back, or empty for no statement
- Return shipping paid by — the customer, or the shop for free returns
With a window set, every product page's structured data carries the return
policy — the window, who pays and a link to your right of withdrawal, for the
countries you ship to — and your /llms.txt gains a Returns section. An empty
field states nothing: nothing is invented, and the
right of withdrawal under Legal & Compliance remains
the text that counts.
Shops that ship nothing
A shop with no shipping countries — selling only subscriptions, services or digital goods:
- shows no shipping link in its footer
- has no "still to do" dot on the Shipping settings section
- never sees the shipping step in the setup checklist
The shipping information page
Your shop has a /shipping page listing your countries, methods, prices and
delivery times. The footer links it automatically while the shop has shipping
countries configured.
